It’s about time someone in government did something right! While Obama and his kool aid drinking minions are busy spending America into bankruptcy and partying with foreign dignitaries on his cut down the United States world tour, Texas Governor Rick Perry has called for an end to Washington!
Gov. Perry joined state Rep. Brandon Creighton and sponsors of House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 50 in support of states’ rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
“I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state,” Gov. Perry said. “That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.”
Perry continued: "Millions of Texans are tired of Washington, DC trying to come down here to tell us how to run Texas."
I’m tired of it to and will be the first to demand that my local, state and federal representatives stand tall and tell Washington what they can do with their high taxes, oppressive regulation and support for immorality. It’s time that the great states that lie west of the Hudson and east of the Sierra’s band together and do something about the agenda being put forth by the ignorant and uninformed in our midst.
Perhaps this has come to pass because those of us who work for a living have been to busy to pay attention. Perhaps it is the great complacency that comes with abundance. Now that the abundance is gone, thanks in large part to liberals and their support for the insane Community Reinvestment Act, wealth envy and class warfare, it’s time to reclaim what is ours. It’s time that we bring back economic freedom and individual liberty.
In once again showing her true anti-American colors, the liberal leader of the Department of Homeland Security has declared nothing short of an all out move to silence those who reject federal authority. This would be the same person who put the kibosh on local law enforcement in Arizona protecting the borders when the feds failed to do their job. I wonder what part of freedom of speech she doesn’t get.
It's as if liberals think that their agenda is somehow the end all and be all. They love to point to an election that they stole with the assistance of ACORN as proof of their mandate, but what happens if only those who work for a living and aren't on the dole had their votes counted...you know, the people that actually contribute to society. Yep, as usual facts get in the way liberal science fiction.
Thank God we have leaders in this nation such as Rick Perry. It’s time for us to not only stand behind him in his quest to ensure the sovereignty of Texas and the rights of Texans but to encourage him to run for president in 2012 because he is just what the doctor ordered as we face an epidemic brought about by the incurable disease best known as liberalism.
